As the 70th Independence day is approaching, ‘The Indian International Centre‘ has organized a special exhibition about Mahatma Gandhi:“Gandhi’s Vision- Freedom and Beyond” that will deeply focus on Gandhiji’s  dream of a free India. This exhibition will present country’s  freedom movement through some photographs and documents.

The exhibition is being conducted by the history professor  ‘Dr. Aparna Basu’, who is now the chairman of National Gandhi Museum.

The exhibition will showcase about Mahatma Gandhi & his struggle after his arrival in India till 1947.  The exhibition will also cover all the movements he undertook such as- Non-Cooperation Movement (1920),  Dandi March (1930) and Quit India Movement (1942).

It will also describe the prologue of India before Gandhi’s arrival and all the 19th-century social reforms along with the formation of Indian National Congress (INC) in 1885 and also have some excerpts about Swadeshi Movement.

‘The India of My Dream’ exhibition portrays about Mahatma Gandhi and his views and opinions right from the myriad issues to caste environment.  All the panelists have some redolent black and white archival photographs with selected quotes and some relevant text by Mahatma Gandhi.  In the panel  ‘Religious Harmony’, it has been quoted that  “Let us respect other religions even as we respect our own. Mere tolerance thereof is not enough.”
